Focal Point

Spotted yesterday - a close-up of an art installation in the gardens of the Arnhem City Museum.

Primeval

Abstracted Art - one of my favourites in the genre. This is a detail of a huge metal sculpture that was on display in the Sneek Museum.

Shard

I shot plenty of rusty abstracts over the years, but this might be my favourite of them all. I love the 3D structure.

Shapes

A zoomed in abstract - converting text to shapes. I like the structures.

Another brick in the wall

Nothing to see here, just a corner of an old wall... and yet....

TP

Anything can become an abstract if you keep your eyes open. This is a stack of rolls of toilet paper in the restroom of a fish shop in nearby Wezep.

Where Red Meets Blue

A "found abstract": the concrete foot of a temporary gate opposite our home had an interesting colours pattern.

Kobe

A close-up of a bench in Lille - the texture and colour combinations reminded me of Kobe beef.

Rusty Diagonals

The first of a series of photographs shot in Belgium and France mid June - our first trip since the Corona outbreak, and I finally was inspired to shoot a few abstracts again. This is a classic example, diagonals and rust patterns. Spotted this opportunity in Lille.

Golden years ahead

Captured a new shot in the CoolArt series, shooting reflections of my wife's colourful paintings in an aluminium cool bag (or a crumpled foil).

Ups and Downs

A decoration (art piece?) spotted along a road in Joure. The angle makes it interesting. This is the type of minimalist abstract I love to create - and having such a blue sky as backdrop is a bonus.

Whirls

It's been a while, but here is a shot I took a few weeks ago in the Kampen City Museum. A close up of a glass art piece that works well as an abstract I think.

The second of two abstract shots I took at a local sundial near the Koornmarktpoort in Kampen. Very pleased with both of them.
