A day at the races
Another example of abstract possibilities that are available if you just look for them. This is a detail shot of some kind of electricity connection device spotted above a street in Shanghai.

Curves ahead
The visit to the Brabant Museum in Den Bosch was interesting, with some excellent art pieces. From a photographer's point of view, the highlight was the curvy wooden wall decoration applied in the museum shop area. I turned the image 90 degrees for a different effect.

Cathedral
Last Thursday we had a very nice day-trip to Den Bosch. I took this shot of the famous cathedral. I like how the tree branches make it feel like a distorted reflection shot. A new kind of optical illusion for me.

Love of my life
For those of you who are not familiar with my Flickr site (2007-end 2018), in which she featured a number of times, here's a chance to meet my wife. Relaxing in a restaurant in nearby Hattem.

School's out
I shot this one at the entrance of the impressive Sun Yat-sen's Mausoleum near Nanjing. Sun Yat-sen was the founding father of the Republic of China, and the provisional first president of the Republic of China. Complete school classes, of course in school uniform, come here for an educational day trip.

Patterns
Back to Shanghai, last November. This pattern on the floor of a shopping mall caught my eye, especially in this point of view. I can probably use it one day for the imaginary albums topic of my art blog.

Yellow streaks
This is the fifth of a series of six abstracts that I shot last week in the German city Bocholt, which we visited on a daytrip. A construction place was fenced off, and the fence was turned into an intriguing combination of graffiti and weather-induced wear.
